CREATIVE QUARANTINE HAITI Imagine four weeks to create a body of work depicting the plight of Haiti. For the entire month of February some of the most prolific artists in the contemporary African American art realm, will join spiritual forces to participate in the very first global "Creative Quarantine" in which they will isolate themselves in their personal studios to gain spiritual and creative insight, and to build a collaborative environment to create and inspire each other, resulting in some of the most uniquely beautiful works of experimental art to benefit Haitian Relief Efforts. Plans are underway for a unified effort on behalf of Artists, Art Galleries, and Art Dealers to stage a creative quarantine to benefit Haitian Relief efforts. We are issuing a "CALL FOR ARTISTS" to submit themed original art for a multi-gallery exhibition to be organized during the month of April. All mediums are encouraged as we attempt to use our global appeal in the arts to bring attention to the continued plight in Haiti. Artists are encouraged to create these pieces in the month of February as a symbolic unified effort of prayer and painting for Haiti. "This year we decided to continue the concept with a twist....personal isolation with spiritual unification". The artists are known for their works on paper and canvas, but now collectors will be able to see their favorite artists in a new way, with three dimensional works on plates, mirrors, vases, wood and other interesting objects. We hope you enjoy viewing this years creations! Participating Artists: PATRICIA COBB Participating Art Galleries:
